Ass.Prof. Dr. Ursula Maier-Rabler is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication since 1999 and was Co-founder and Academic Director of the ICT&S Center of the University of Salzburg from 2003 to 2011. Together with Thomas Herdin she coordinates the MCM Program, pushing forward new possibilities for academic exchange between Chinese Universities and the University of Salzburg.

Ass.Prof. Mag. Dr. Thomas Herdin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication since 2004. His field of research and teaching is Intercultural Management. Together with Ursula Maier-Rabler he coordinates the MCM Program, pushing forward new possibilities for academic exchange between Chinese Universities and the University of Salzburg.

Ao. Univ. Prof. Dr. Sylvia Hahn, is a professor at the Department for History and the Vice Rector for International Relations and Communication of the University of Salzburg. She strongly supports the activities of the MCM Master Exchange Program and in the Winter Term 2013 she gave a lecture for international students, which the Chinese MCM participants all took, with the title Politics, History and Culture in Austria and Central Europe.

Dr QIAO Mu is an associate professor of communication and the Director of Media Studies Program at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). He specializes in political communication, comparative media studies and social media’s role in democratization. He is also a columnist with huge readership in China. As a media analyst, he is often been interviewed on international media. Prof. Qiao conducted post-doctoral research at London School of Economics after obtained a PhD in political science from Tsinghua University in 2002. He was a policy analyst at Beijing Society for Comparative International Studies in 1997–99, and a press officer at Beijing Municipal Office for Foreign Affairs in 1995–97.
Lecturer

Dr. Wolfgang Vyslozil teaches at the University of Vienna and has many years of experience in Austria’s media branch. He started his career at one of Austria’s quality newspapers Die Presse and was the Executive Director of the APA, Austria’s biggest news agency, from 1982 to 2008. Since 2010 he teaches the MCM course Media Management under the Condition of Press Freedom, which includes an excursion to Vienna.

Mag. Robert Bichler is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication at the University of Salzburg. Since 2011 he teaches the MCM course Socio-cultural and socio-technical dimensions of media and communication. Between 2009 and 2011 Robert taught at the Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) in China.

Dr. Sergio Sparviero is a Postdoc at the Department of Communication ICT&S Center of the University of Salzburg. His main field of research and teaching is media economics. He has been teaching MCM students since 2011, and since Winter Semester 2012 the lecture Economics and Structure of Media and Journalism.
